MEMORY II
Sculptural vessel · 2026
A deep fracture divides the form, held together through a series of straw stitches.
The gesture draws from a rural practice observed at the artist’s grandparents’ home, where broken or damaged objects were repaired, reused and reintroduced into everyday life.
Here, straw is not decorative. It becomes part of the repair itself — a humble, fragile material used to reconnect what has been broken.
The intervention remains visible, allowing the fracture and the act of care to become part of the vessel’s history.
Material: Stoneware, straw
Technique: Hand-built, coil building, hand repair
Year: 2026
Height: 38 cm
One-of-a-kind piece
Exhibited at 1000 Vases, Paris Design Week, 2026.
